Applications and Features of Embossed and Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet

Corrugated polycarbonate sheet is a translucent roofing material perfect for long-span applications and curved installation. One of the toughest types of polycarbonate sheets available thanks to the corrugation added to the embossed texture.

Features of Embossed and Corrugated Polycarbonate

Corrugated and embossed polycarbonate sheets are used because they are strong, weatherproof, and less prone to warping.

  • Less Warping

Unlike a solid polycarbonate sheet of the same thickness, which would warp or bend out of shape, this corrugated material resists these effects.

  • Weather-resistant

These polycarbonate sheets' reverse embossed pattern separates the planes and gives it more strength and durability. This makes it able to withstand any storm or sudden changes in the weather.

  • Easy Installation

Due to their length and overlapping material design, embossed and corrugated polycarbonate sheets can be simply fitted with minimal framework required.

  • Less Leakage

Due to their propensity not to leak, architects and engineers are constantly looking for embossed and corrugated polycarbonate sheets for sale. There are fewer structural voids and consequently fewer opportunities for water leakage because there is less need for supporting infrastructure. It is also less likely to require maintenance in the future as a result.

Application of Embossed and Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheets

Embossed and corrugated polycarbonate sheets are multi-functional building materials that offer a variety of benefits for both commercial and residential applications. Their unique properties make them ideal for a wide range of uses, including:-

  • Roofing: Embossed and corrugated polycarbonate sheets are lightweight, yet extremely strong and durable. They are an excellent choice for roofing applications, providing superior protection against the elements.
  • Siding: Polycarbonate sheets can be used as an attractive and durable siding material. They are easy to install and maintain, and resist fading and other damage caused by the sun and weather.
  • Glazing: Polycarbonate sheets are an excellent choice for glazing applications. They are shatterproof and provide superior UV protection, making them ideal for use in skylights, windows, and other glazing applications.
  • Signage: Polycarbonate sheets can be used to create long-lasting, eye-catching signs. They are resistant to fading and other damage caused by the sun, making them ideal for outdoor signage.

 Embossed Polycarbonate Sheet

AKMY's embossed polycarbonate sheet is one of the best and most useful materials for roofing, glazing, profiling, and other industrial usages. Our PC embossed sheets are 200 times stronger and lighter than glass, have crystal clear transparency, great impact strength, low scratch resistance, and can be thermoformed or bent into any shape or size.

These embossed polycarbonate sheets have a 10-year limited warranty* and are virtually unbreakable in addition to being UV stabilized and fire retardant. These sheets have exceptional toughness and high-temperature resistance, which makes them perfect for usage in a wide range of industries, including the construction industry, railroads, automobiles, and other crucial security components. AKMY Polyplast, a leading embossed polycarbonate sheet manufacturers in India, provides polycarbonate available in a variety of sizes and colors in both roll and sheet form. The quality of Advance Extrusion and upper grade of virgin material that’s come with more properties makes our product better than other manufacturer.

Corrugated Sheets

AKMY's polycarbonate corrugated sheets are produced in-house using solid and embossed sheets of the highest quality polycarbonate, which are made from 100% virgin upper-grade material. These sheets are then cold bent and punched using sophisticated machinery with a micro tolerance in the corrugation diagram of the desired profile. We can profile sheet thickness from 1 mm to 3 mm and width as per the required corrugation diagram and length to maximum 6100 mm.

Conclusion

These are some of the applications and features of embossed and corrugated polycarbonate sheets which make it an ideal material for a wide range of uses. Its durability, weather resistance, and lightweight properties make it perfect for everything from roofing and glazing to sign-making and protective coverings. With so many benefits, it's no wonder that this versatile material is becoming increasingly popular in a wide range of industries.
